Both chipsets come with a 6nm fabrication and are the first MediaTek chipsets with Cortex-A78 cores. This chipset also presents quite high performance but has a different target market.

Dimensity 1200 is the most premium version which comes with a CPU configuration of 1 + 3 + 4 consisting of Cortex-A78 @ 3.0GHz, 3 Cortex-A78 @ 2.6GHz, and 4 Cortex-A55 @ 2.0GHz. The performance presented by the Dimensity 1200 when compared to the Dimensity 1000+ has increased by 22 percent and the efficiency is also higher by 25% compared to the previous generation. Meanwhile, Dimensity 1100 comes with four Cortex-A78 cores @ 2.6GHz which turns out to have almost the same performance as Dimensity 1000+ in single-core and multi-core. This is what makes this chipset quite interesting. Later, the two chipsets will be used in smartphones made by Realme, Xiaomi, Vivo, and also OPPO in the mid-range to high-end categories. It is planned that the first smartphone with Dimensity 1200 will arrive at the end of March 2021.
